Every child is inherently worthy, capable, and whole.
Blossom and Root cultivates a learning environment where curiosity, creativity, and relationship are the true engines of growth. Children thrive when trusted to lead their own learning in freedom, held within a small community rooted in love, mutual respect, and belonging.
Our curriculum follows a Charlotte Mason inspired, nature-based rhythm — a classroom with an adjoining playground and walking trails, so the day holds both a vibrant indoor space and daily time outside.
the daily rhythm
A single day, kept in gentle order.
- 9:30 amArrival window — coats, water bottles, a slow settling in.
- 9:30Breakfast snack and free play.
- 10:00Circle time, into curriculum exploration — craft, handlettering, math games, art project.
- 11:00Outside time on the playscape.
- 12:00 pmLunch together.
- 12:30Daily walk — trail or playscape, rain or shine.
- 1:00Open afternoon for projects and free exploration.
- 3:00 pmPickup window — a small finished piece, and the day closed.
We ask that families arrive within the 9:30–9:45 window. You're always welcome after that time, but the children settle into the flow together more easily when everyone arrives around the same time.

Suzy Marie
Suzy spent eight years running The Village Playschool, an in-home early childhood program. She brings training in Montessori, Reggio Emilia, and Waldorf approaches, graduate study in Integrative Psychology with a focus on attachment-based care, and certification as an herbalist.
Blossom and Root is the next chapter of that work — a deeper, more intentional focus on nature-based, Charlotte Mason inspired learning for this stage of childhood.
